Godrej & Boyce to enter battery manufacturing

Godrej & Boyce (G&B) is expanding its business portfolio. The company is now getting into the manufacturing of zinc-manganese batteries. Apart from this, it is also considering manufacturing thermo chips for cameras and virtual reality devices. It is also setting up a pellet factory for concrete recycling for use in construction. G&B is in 14 businesses like aerospace, appliances. Company chairman Jamshed Godrej said that zinc-manganese batteries have a lot of potential. It is an ideal solution for large-scale energy storage.
